I would like to start using my probing setup. But I have confusion on metric vs. imperial usage.
I am a bit sad to say that I seem to work always with inches. It's just because I work with wood all the time.
So here is the confusion:
The command I have seen uses G38.2 Z-15 F10 which uses mm for 15 mm max down at 10 mm/min.Do you have to have the CM "use millimeters" on the Jog screen?
If the CM is set to use inches, does the probe operation use 15 inches down at 10 inches per min.? (given the same command)
Is the G38.2 command line ALWAYS run in metric?
Or if I choose to use inches, do I need to convert the Z-15 and F10 to equivalent inch units?
Where can I find good clarification on this topic?
